I want to talk about our young people, this climate generation. I’m referring to the folks roughly 25 years old down to the newest babies. I KNOW you are worried about their future, so am I, and for good reason. I’m here to ask you to let your worry be overpowered by real awe and admiration for these little ones! They don’t need your worry but they may need your help. I’ve been calling them The Super Generation. Let me explain…

As NYC closed down in March and Design Wild shuttered its doors, I found myself in the Hudson Valley working on the same large organic farm where I started my adult life twenty years ago. The Farm at Miller's Crossing is located ten minutes outside of the city of Hudson, NY, and grows 70 acres of organic vegetables and 400 acres of organic grain. They do an amazing job with so many projects. There are cows, there is a beautiful farm stand, there are acres and acres of fresh food and they are one of the major suppliers of vegetable starts and seedlings in the area and beyond. It was a huge pleasure to work with this excellent, highly skilled farm crew, an honor to be welcomed home in a time of crisis to help with food production and a great way to stay busy and strong during such a hard and scary spring. If you want amazing vegetables from this place, they sell locally at the farm stand as well as through Community Supported Agriculture programs in Columbia Co, Brooklyn and Queens! Check out the video of our Greenhouse production and get a feel for what spring vibe was like on the farm here.
