Greening Streets | Hell's Kitchen NYC

The Hudson Yards Hell's Kitchen Alliance continues to expand the greening of streets throughout Midtown West with Design Wild's help. From the transformation of Canoe Plaza on 36th street to a green through street on 37th street complete with a DOT streetseat (Check out more here). This summer we took on 10th Avenue installing six new mid sidewalk street trees complete with wild understory gardens. Our planting included our native Ilex glabra, Yucca, drift Roses, Vitex and Myrica pensylvanica. The Alliance's signature planters were installed along the Avenue as well planted with Smokebushes, Clethra and native pollinator flowers including Goldenrod, Hyssop, Asters and more. If you are in the area please walk by and smell the wildflowers: 10th Avenue between 37th street and 38th street.
